Mark Billinghurst
Advisor
Mark, a world-renowned professor in AR and VR, is Director of the Empathic Computing Laboratory and a professor at the University of South Australia and the University of Auckland. With a PhD from the University of Washington, he has published over 650 papers and pioneered AR for remote collaboration. Mark received the ISMAR Career Impact Award in 2019, was honored by the ACM SIGCHI Academy and IEEE VGTC VR Academy in 2022, and was inducted into the XR Hall of Fame in 2024.
Ihshan Gumilar
Lead
Ihshan is passionate about Virtual Reality (VR), Generative AI, and psychology, with a background in neuropsychology. He develops advanced VR applications and chatbots using Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG). Holding a PhD from the Auckland Bioengineering Institute in inter-brain synchrony in VR, he combines organizational and startup experience with advanced software development skills to improve human lives through innovative technology. Ihshan communicates in Indonesian, English, French, German, and Arabic. In his spare time, he enjoys reading, writing, and exploring nature in New Zealand.
Edward Ferdian
AI Architect
Edward is an experienced researcher and software engineer with 10+ years’ experience in various industries. He received his PhD degree in Medical Imaging from the University of Auckland, New Zealand. He is currently a research fellow at Auckland Bioengineering Institute and a lecturer at Telkom University, Indonesia. His main interest is machine learning, image processing, and synthetic data (generative AI, LLM, etc). Additionally, he has a wide range of experience in application development from computer vision to medical applications.
Yuda Munarko
AI/Software Development Strategist
Yuda is an expert in search engines with a strong foundation in Large Language Models (LLM). His journey began as an educator and practitioner in AI and machine learning. Yuda has extensive experience in theoretical concepts, technical software development, and practical implementation. He previously worked as a professional Oracle trainer and holds a PhD in Bioengineering from the University of Auckland, where he developed a search engine.
